Between 13-16 October 2021 Felix A. Debrenti, President of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Hungary, attended the autumn session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Lisbon as the Vice-President of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association International.
Over the two days the YATA delegation held talks with U.S. Congressman Gerry Connolly, the current president of NATO Parliamentary Assembly, furthermore the delegation also met with the president and members of the local Atlantic Council and its youth chapter.
Discussions included the priorities of the autumn session, the new Strategic Concept to be adopted at NATO’s Madrid Summit next year, and the current state of defense spending of 2% of GDP set by the Allies.
